The, then S-3 Drive-In’s biggest night ever was on September 23, 1952 when 20,000 got in and 5,000 turned away for the live boxing title match between beloved Jersey Joe Wolcott and Rocky Marciano. RCA projection was brought in and the match shown on the giant S-3 screen.
