This Simplex E-7 projector was originally installed and used at The Broadmoor Little Theatre from the time it was new (late 1930s) until the mid-late 1990s. It is pictured here, installed and functional, at the Rialto Theatre in Loveland, Colorado in this circa Spring of 2007 photograph. It was mounted on a Xenon console and converted to a reverse-scan red reader (sound) sometime between 2000-2002 however the reel magazines, projector head and soundhead are the originals from The Broadmoor.
For the layman unfamiliar with projection equipment and terminology, I have uploaded an edited version of this exact same photograph that is cropped down to show only the parts of the unit which were originally from The Broadmoor Little Theatre. That photo is next and marked “photograph 2/2.”
