Former Cinerama Orpheum Theatre pre lobby above old missing boxoffece ceiling. Closed off with a big roll up chain fence if closed these days. I wonder If they just smashed the old ticket booth or did they save It for some ones private home cinema? It was so great to go up to this giant thick ticket booth, now gone and purchase a ticket to see curved screen Cinerama on the giant Orpheum screen with curtains in the 1950’s and 60’s. After as a kid when I bought my Cinerama ticket I stood and looked at the top part of the ceiling before I went into the Orpheum. A classic place still open in 2018. Check it out If you are ever in SF, Imagine the Cinerama screen that came off the stage and into the first few rows with 7 ch stereo mag surround sound. Gone but still fondly remembered.
