A 1950 premiere of “Rock Island Trail” held at the Paramount in Des Moines leads to the introduction of two new candy bars at the theater’s concession stand. They were Jacobson’s Jubilee (milk chocolate with cashew patty) and Jacobson’s Rocket (chocolate and peanut cluster) from the long-time Des Moines candy company.
