The actual auditorium was upstairs in a two story building. The King’s Cross Newsreel Theatrette was opened in 25th, July 1941. It was renamed the Gaiety Theatre in the mid-1960’s, and continued until closing in 1975. It soon re-opened as as the Penthouse Cinema and ran for a few more years until closing and becoming a slot machine arcade – Contributed by Greg Lynch – dimensional1@bigpond.com
