First Black Film Projectionist at Lincoln Theatre
In late 1959, my father moved us to Bradenton Florida to manage the segregated Lincoln Theater on 9th Ave W. For a time, this would include work for both him and my mother as a team.

My father’s name was Benjamin Dixon and he previously worked at a theatre in Panama City Florida before relocating to Bradenton for this job.
Thanks DD for this classic photo of your dad. So sharp and he even had a shirt and tie in the booth on in those days while a 35mm projectionist in hot Florida.
