The billboard for the Barkley Theatre is located on the out-ramp of the Footscray Railway Station. The current attraction is a 1929 (all talking) film called “South Sea Rose”
South Sea Rose is a 1929 Talking Picture which Starred Lenore Ulric – Description: in the South Seas and in New England. A naval captain lets himself be seduced by a native who he marries and brings back to his country. The free spirit of the young woman is badly perceived by the local society – Contributed by Greg Lynch –
