“People outside of the Newport Theater welcoming Ed Sullivan who visited our area on May 4th, 1954. The theater was located on the border of Youngstown and Boardman near the corner of West Midlothian Blvd and Hillman Way very close to Market Street. Mr. Sullivan came to visit after a comic appeared on his show and made derogatory comments about the area and then Mayor Frank X. Kryzan invited Ed Sullivan to visit!”
