The March 12, 1989 issue of the Victorville Daily Press ran this series of Neal C. Lauron photos with the title “End of an Era”. Uploaded here for the fair use of showing the final moments of the Joshua’s screen. Its caption said that it had been closed for years, and that a Kmart was scheduled to be built in its place.

Ironic that it was scheduled to be replaced by a K-Mart, whose era also ended with a big, dusty thud.
