12 Dec 1965 - Frankie Avalon walking through the theatre down to the stage.
Not long after this the “State Theatre” became the “Cinerama” (opening 19 Aug 1966 with 70mm film format and replaced by a flat screen in 1970s). It was demolished in 1987. It stood about 57-61 Courtenay Place, the auditorium being the car park at 48 Tory Street
