The Tulsa Riot Massacre shows the remnants of the Dixie Theatre in the background on June 1, 1921. It would be rebuilt and reopened within a year. However, it was contended that there were not fire walls between the two neighboring buildings leading to a three-building loss when the building caught fire in 1944.
