Henry Plitt owned the United Artists Theatre in Chicago for 14 years. He got $7.3 million dollars out of it at the end of 1988; about 9 months after he closed the theatre forever. The theatre finally got demolished in early 1990.
This deal was made for payments of all the buildings around Block 37 that got demolished.
