Opened in 1915, the Blackheath theater stands today as one of the oldest surviving (though non-functional) purpose-built cinemas in New South Wales. It showed ‘Silents’ for 15 years, ‘Talkies’ for 30 years, and after storage use for a while, it has been an antique center/café for most of the last 40 years.(M. Jaul photo 2022)
