Photograph taken December 1935 of entrance foyer showing the bright ‘Moderne’ design by Eugene Mollo with graduating shades of pink and silver. Paybox was situated left opposite (out of picture) opposite the information board attached to the front of the chevron designed twin staircase leading to the circle and café foyer. The Rendezvous was to be the third cinema that Mollo & Egan had designed the interior decoration for Architect Leslie Kemp during 1935. Previous cinemas were the Embassy Braintree 8th April and Regal Bow 26th September, 1935 was also to be a busy year for Mollo & Egan completing a total of twenty three cinema interiors.
