Now a second hand furniture store after a period as a supermarket, this western suburban theatre was one of a pair with a very similar ‘twin’ in Croydon a couple of kilometres nearer the city. They were run in tandem by an independent consortium, usually by switching films during the screening of the programmes, They were taken over by the Star Theatre circuit, and later by the British Rank ‘Odeon’ organization before succumbing to the introduction of television.
