I grew up in the Boulevard Houses in East New York in the late 50’s and early 60’s and have found memories of the Biltmore. I attended ps 273 , George Gershwin JHS as well as Thomas Jefferson HS I especially remember that kids had to sit in the side of the theatre supervised by a matron
I went to PS 202. My sister was in the 1st class at Gershwin after going to PS 273. I believe that was on Wortman Ave. where we lived. I went to TJHS for only 1 year then went to NYSP. We probably met each other. How about that.
The Biltmore was our big entertainment on Saturday morning topped with an Egg Cream in that corner lunchenette. Dems were da' days, huh.
