I found this photo on Pinterest, which grabbed it from a Business Insider article. It matches a Bettman / Getty image, so beware of using it elsewhere. Definitely not my copyright.

I’m posting it here because the Alamy.com description of this photo calls it “The Cinemotor Theater in LA, 1938”. The entrance sign matches what we know as the Pico. I can find no other mention of that name for any drive-in in California, ever, but that Alamy notes suggests that just maybe, somebody called it the Cinemotor.
