This architectural rendering of “The New Thompson Theater” was presented, along with a description, in the Oct. 28, 1916 issue of the Moving Picture World magazine. The $50,000 playhouse, to be located at the corner of Ogden and Colfax was to seat 1,200. The builder was John Thompson of the International Amusement Company. He was also the owner of the Thompson Theater at Colfax and Adams.
