Rex Theatre, Charlton, VIC

A truly community-owned and managed affair, the Rex Theatre in north-western Victoria is equally a historic monument and a modern, elegant cinema. Its sheer high-rise facade is formed from a classic art deco design, and the glass-front panels provide full vision into the foyer of the theatre/cinema.

It is more than visually beautiful, being the last purpose-built and original cinema in country Victoria.
