1953 3D Presentation

Seventy years ago on October 23, 1953, AMERICAN BEAUTIES and PERSIAN SLAVE MARKET - the third and fourth 3-D shorts from Broadway Roadshow Productions - had their first known playdate at the 800 seat Portola Theatre in San Francisco, CA.

These burlesque shorts were presented in “Glorious Multi-Color” anaglyphic 3-D by Oakland and San Francisco burlesque theater magnate, Harry A. Farros. He owned the Portola Theatre.
