The owners of the property surrounding the classic Orinda Theatre won’t trim the trees or even get the fountain to work. Many of the stores are for lease or closed up. Please thin out these trees and show off the Orinda Theatre neon sign. Complain to the city of Orinda or the fire department.

Great news as of July 19 2024 after making many calls around town and all over the USA I was finally hooked up with the brand new property managers of the Orinda Showplace Mall in Orinda CA. They tell me that the two tress outside blocking the Orinda Theatre neon marquee are now out for bid to have them trimmed. Same with the big waterfall fountain near the theatre entrance they are about to start the water flowing again after some brief repairs. Have to drain the fountain first. They have signed up some new tenants for some of the empty stores near the cinema. Hope to see everyone at the big Hollywood Classic film matinee on Tuesday June 30 at 1PM ‘The Bad And The Beautiful’ in the large Orinda Theatre. Plenty of pre show trailers and hard to find shorts before the movie begins. Thanks to Matias Bombal for staging this great showmanship event, Tell your friends take the SF Bay Area Bart to the front door.
