“Irma La Douce” enjoys smash record run
“Irma La Douce” opened Oct 15, 1965 which positioned the cinema as a premiere showcase. Irma ran for 43 weeks with the final screening Aug 5,1966. Columbia’s Born Free would follow and enjoy a another record season. Sadly The Bercy was never equipped for 70mm, but had a very impressive CinemaScope screen, as well as masking capabilities for standard 1.33:1 ratio.
