RKO Grand and Suburban Roadshows - page five

The six lowest running films that had roadshow engagements in the sixties and early seventies in the Columbus area (excluding Hunts Cinestage). Exactly half of the films ran at the Grand Cinerama. I was curious to learn about the run of the original release of “Gone with the Wind.” GWTW as it was often referred to, had its initial engagement at Loew’s Broad on February 2, 1940. It stayed until February 29, 1940, for a total run of 28 days. However, its second-run was enormous with seemingly every theater showing the film. Even Loew’s Ohio ran the film in 1941.
