The auditorium photographed at its opening in July 1938. All the decorative details seen here were removed in the 1960’s when it was modernised and given the ‘Zing’ treatment.

I love this photo, I worked in this odeon from 1955 to 1960 as a projectionist. (finished up as 2nd operator)I loved working there.so sad its all changed now.can I download a copy for happy memories? j. jee
