Thebarton Theatre 112 Henley Beach Road, Adelaide, SA - 1928

Opening ceremony June 11, 1928

Located the west Adelaide suburb of Thebarton. The Thebarton Theatre was opened on 11th June 1928. operated by the Clifford Theatres/Star Theatres chain in the 1950’s it was then taken over by Greater Union Cinemas until it closed as a cinema on 3rd July 1965.

It was also known as Thebarton Town Hall, although looking very much like a cinema, as it was designed by noted theatre architects Kaberry & Chard.
