EMPIRE HELENSBURGH Mac’s Corner and Foodland Supermarket in the old Empire Theatre in the late 1960s

The Empire Theatre opened on 4th May 1923 and closed in 1963. Seating was 424 stalls and 117 gallery. After closing, the building was converted to a supermarket. In March of 1972 the building was destroyed in a fire.
