The photograph above shows the Ritz cinema August 1962 which was formally the Norfolk here the original façade has been obliterated. My photograph was taken when still a full time cinema. The Norfolk cinema was designed by Architect Arthur Singleton who had his practice in Burgess Hill. Singleton built several more cinemas during the 1930’s one being the Regal Biggleswade, with its stylish Art Deco interior, which can be viewed on Cinema Treasures site.
