View of the auditorium which seated 1250. The splay walls were featured by illuminated chevron designs that also were used to cover organ chambers and ventilation shafts, here at Maldon the Wurlitzer organ chamber was set above the proscenium. Interior designer Eugene Mollo also used this particular design for the interiors of other cinemas, including the ‘Majestic’ Rochester 15th April 1935, ‘Modern’ Bournemouth 11th October 1935 and ‘Regal’ Cranleigh 30th October 1936.
