Source - The Herald (Melbourne, Vic) - Thu 30 Oct 1919 Page 12
The Broadway was designed and erected by R. G. Macartney, of Foam St Elwood, it is the first theatre to be erected and opened since the termination of the war. The Broadway is a handsome building with a seating capacity of 1500. The seats are beautifully upholstered and very comfortable and everything has been done regards ventilation and spaciousness to make the building up-to-date -
The pictures and music will be on a par with the best city shows. The Broadway is on the Vautier street section of the Brighton Electric Tramway.
