Bryson Theatre 184 Exhibition Street, Melbourne, VIC - 1983
The Bryson Cinema (Melbourne): Located at 174–192 Exhibition Street, this cinema was a 1970s addition to the former Bryson Centre.
The Bryson’s interior featured distinct large wrought iron sculptures depicting a sunrise on the side walls. The sculptures were saved by John McKenzie when the Bryson closed, and installed in the Cameo theatre Belgrave which he was renovating.
The Bryson cinema closed in 1983 and was later gutted to make way for the Bobby McGee’s nightclub.
