View of auditorium taken prior to opening showing view from circle level with a lower front four rows of seats. The aisle behind the rear barrier separates the rear section of the circle. The cinema held a total of 810 seats, 600 in the stalls and 210 in circle. Manufactured and fitted by Pixtons Ltd of London. Note; the original Art Deco carpet which was fitted throughout supplied by Podfield & Co. Barnstable. All solid decorative plaster works on side walls, gilt fibrous plaster grilles above the circle and stepped levels surrounding the proscenium which covered heating and ventilation shafts were supplied by Plaster Decoration Co. Ltd., London The main colour scheme for the auditorium was coral pink and beige. Decorative lighting, F.H. Pride London.
