Photo - Promotion for the opening program by the Sun Newspaper which involved 600 free tickets to a preview of the new Peter Sellers movie “Where Does it Hurt?.

Phillip Allen writes - I started work there in January 1973 shortly after it opened. Chief projectionist Barry surname escapes me with the other projectionist being Chester Costen. Maurice Scott ex Metro was the manager. Cinemeccanica RK60 with 13000 ft spools boxes and on machine rewinding. 13000 ft in 15 minutes. Extremely impressive speeds reached rewinding. With Cinemation automation.

Phillip Allen writes - And i do believe the projectors went to the Cameo Belgrave on closing. And may still be there.
