Grand Theatre
This is the last year of existence for the Grand Theatre but it gives you more an idea of the Grand Theater’s neighbors / neighborhood because it’s not clearly in the shot despite being labeled as such.
(As for the arches in the foreground welcoming you to the Springfield Public Square, they were constructed in September of 1899 and illuminated for the Illinois State Fair and people wanted them gone… almost instantly after that Fair, according to reports. On June 6, 1921, the steel arches were finally removed but in 1916/7, they were still there, obviously.)
