Mr Showmanship ‘Terry’ outside the neon marquee of Oakland’s Fox Paramount Theatre for the Summer 2026 Friday night 35mm films and pre show with pipe organ event. Go check out this fine art deco giant theatre in downtown Oakland. Just take BART to the front door 19th/Broadway BART station. If you can track down one of the 7 manager types walking all around tell them to bring back the color lights under the balcony and ceiling during a event stage or screen. The new way too bright white LED bulbs just don’t fit in this classic old movie theatre still in great shape. Also tell them about putting back in stereo surround sound when they show 35mm films. The more movie goers complain maybe they will improve things like they used to do.
