Looking at projector for Cinema #1, which was originally 2 projectors with changeovers. #1 was the large auditorium that was split, creating a new (smaller) screen 1 and 2. The former screen 2 became screen 3, and retained its original 2 machine/changeover configuration.

Booth chief was Jerry Parker, who was the local 346 business agent. I learned a lot about craftsmanship from Jerry. He kept those machines spotless… even on the gear side! You could eat off the gear side. Through my later travels as a service engineer all over the country, I never ran into another projectionist who was as good as Jerry.
