Fremantle Town hall 8 William Street, Fremantle, WA
Constructed between 1885 and 1887, the Fremantle Town Hall officially opened on June 22, 1887.
The building’s completion coincided with Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee. Today, this heritage-listed Victorian landmark remains a cultural hub in Western Australia, offering a grand venue for performances and community events.
The foundation stone was laid on May 28, 1885.Naming: It was formally named by Mayor Daniel Keen.
The building features a classical Victorian façade with Corinthian pilasters, pediments, and a rusticated ground floor.The Clock: The distinctive town hall clock was installed in 1888, a year after the official opening.
