Now used as a coffee shop mainly in the lobby and outside entrance. The boxoffice out front was removed many years ago. Here in this photo just taken last week (8/26) is the long entrance way outside with a water fountain that still works. A bookstore now gone came in and put in a fake rim side top floor that is still in place. The lease must be coming to end for the coffee sales. The former ‘Varsity Theatre’ I think can still be turned back into a movie or entertainment club. New owners or lease guys would have to put back the slanted floor and take out the top side spaces. The large neon marquee still works I bet. It had a small balcony also. The projection room is still up in the top back. While not as big as the Fox Stanford Theatre down the block It is still a nice size theatre with a long lobby space.
