I saw Roberto Benigni’s 2002 “Pinocchio” here when it first came out. Misconceived and badly dubbed in English, its US release was a disaster, though it did better in Italy and other European countries.

This had a Christmas release in 2002, and I saw it here at the Apple Valley Cinemas on December 26 of that year.
