August 2012.
Hi all,
I grew up in Nashville and attended movies at the Belcourt Cinema. I also attended movies at the Belmont Theatre, with entrance located at corner of 21st Ave S and Blakemore prior to its demolition c. 1962.
Did the “Hillsboro” theatre morph from the Belmont? I believe that the Belmont opened in 1925, but I am not convinced that they are the same facility.
Anyone have thoughts to share?
