Fitzroy Street St Kilda, looking south-west - The George Hotel, with its tower, can also be seen further along Fitzroy Street, on the Grey Street corner.

The building on the front left with the flag is the Bioscope Cinema, while passing is a classic cable car. The year is approx 1915.

Martin Carr writes - The white building with the flag is the St Kilda Bioscope Theatre. This was the first movie theatre in the area (built in 1911). The Banff Apartments were built on this site in 1939.
