Isador Goodman became perhaps the most famous of the St James maestros becoming known as ‘the poet of the piano’. After his three year stint at the St James he went on to become a (much married) popular concert pianist who toured extensively both in Australia and overseas. He had a long association with the NSW State Conservatorium of Music and the Australian Broadcasting Commission. He recorded many highly acclaimed albums, wrote music for films including “Jedda”, and appeared on the opening night of television in this country (TCN9 Sydney 1956).
