Interior of Empire Theatre with original Roller Skating sign, circa 1882, on the rear wall of the theatre. It reads, “ROLLER SKATING 2 HOURS OF FUN FOR 30 cents”. This sign was found under the stage while the theatre was undergoing restoration. The building was converted to a theatre in 1890.
