District Music Hall

The Norwalk Theatre closed in 1950. After three years of dormancy, Robert C. Spodick (left), Leonard E. Sampson (to the right of Spoick), and Norman Black (far right) relaunched the theatre on December 26, 1953 with “Easy to Love” with Esther Williams. Also there was Mayor Irving Freese in the center and architect/designer Barbara Joseloff.
