“Miss Esther Stayner, pictured here at the Rialto Theater’s baby grand piano, was named organist for the theater in October of 1924. She succeeded Alice Piercy on the Wurlitzer. Miss Stayner had spent the previous three years as organist at the Clemmer Theater in Spokane, before making the move to Tacoma.”
