Photograph of Herbert Albert Yapp founder and Managing Director of Wyanbee Theatres. In 1928 Yapp had decided to build his own cinemas so that he could decide from the beginning how his input and ideas could be interpreted by his Architect and Chairman Stanley Beard and the Royalty cinema was the first of these in what was to became a small chain of select cinemas.
