“Madison Avenue looking west to Washington Avenue. The Old North Church in the background. The Casino Movie Theatre on the left. Built by the Ruckle family and opened in June 1914. This was the first movie theatre in Dumont. The town had used the town hall since 1912 for movies. The Casino Theatre was closed in February 1926 when the Ruckle family opened their newly built Dumont Theatre.”
