Everyones magazine 30th December 1936 reproduced architect Aaron Bolot’s drawing of the proposed Randwick Ritz, reporting it was expected to cost £25,000 and was due to open in March 1937. (The cost ended up being around £17,000 and it opened in July). Bolot had designed in Art Deco style the almost identical Goulburn Ritz which Purves had opened 27th November 1936. (Another venue at Sydney suburban Burwood did not eventuate.)
