Above photograph of Lou Morris owner of the new Plaza cinema. It is interesting to know that originally a previous cinema was planned in 1932 by Morris for Worthing to be known as the ‘Show Boat’ in Chapel Road, by Architect Robert Cromie, construction by R. Costain & Son. However, their were difficulties with this first chosen site and therefore was cancelled in favour of the Rowlands Road more prominent position.
