Photograph taken from rear circle before opening night, showing front section of auditorium. Central ceiling dome decorated with sunburst edging the inner section gilt grilles concealing ventilation extract fans. Below a large circular band of medallions and cameos. The double archedproscenium was 32ft high and 48ft wide all illuminated by concealed coloured cove lighting. The Regent theatre was destroyed by bombing of Bristol on Sunday night 24th November 1940.
