This is my photo of a 1996 newspaper carrying Don Sporleder’s story of a 1997 Davenport Alumni Association calendar that included Henry Jones' parents' 1955 photo of the Rig’s screen tower. Tip of the hat to the Museum of Pioneer History in the county seat of Chandler OK.
That original photo probably wasn’t published anywhere before that calendar, so it’s probably still under copyright. I have uploaded it here for the Fair Use scholarly purpose of illustrating this drive-in.
